At Prarthana School of Dance, we specialize in Bharatanatyam, one of the oldest classical dance forms of India. Our professional training will help you master the intricate footwork and expressive gestures that define this beautiful art form.
About Anita Praseed
Anita Praseed is a trained Bharatanatyam dancer, choreographer, and teacher. She is the founder and artistic director of Prarthana School of Dance.
Early Life and Training
Anita began learning dance at the age of 3 under the guidance of Kalasadanam Sethu Master and his wife, Sheeja Sethu, and later under Smt. Vijayam. She is also trained in Mohiniyattam and Kuchipudi.
Career
An engineering graduate from BITS Pilani, Anita chose to pursue her passion for dance. She choreographed her first dance at 16 and has since created many more. Since 2011, she has choreographed and led numerous dances in the valley.
Background
Born into a family of artists who pioneered stage shows and movie production, Anita was raised in Dubai. She has acted in a movie and participated in prestigious stage shows from a young age.
Artistic Contributions
Anita is an active member of local associations and has choreographed Mega Thiruvathira (featuring over 100 ladies) for several years in the valley.
